Dr. Jianping Huang is a Distinguished Professor and Dean of College of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University. He is also the Director and Chief Scientist of Key Laboratory for Semi-Arid Climate Change, Ministry of Education, China.

Dust and black carbon have been measured in the seasonal snow across Northern China to improve our understanding of the role of absorbing aerosols in the climate system.
